I fart a lot. And I’m not the only one. According to the American Association of Gastroenterology, as many as 44% of adults worldwide release gas from their stomachs on a regular basis.
So why am I telling you all this? Because it turns out that flatulence is actually a natural process that helps break down food in the stomach. In fact, when we eat something unhealthy or eat too much at once, our bodies produce more gas – which can lead to bloating and abdominal discomfort.
But don’t worry – there are ways to control and reduce your farting habits without having to go on a restrictive diet or take uncomfortable medications. Here are five tips to help you ease into a healthier digestive system and reduce your farting:
1) Eat small meals throughout the day instead of large meals that contain lots of fiber and sugar. This will help your body digest food properly and reduce the amount of gas produced.
