How to make alfredo sauce

Alfredo sauce is one of those classic dishes that you can find in just about any Italian restaurant. It’s a creamy, rich sauce that is perfect for pasta or chicken. This recipe for alfredo sauce is easy to follow and will give you the perfect creamy flavor every time.

Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.

Add flour and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
Increase heat to medium and slowly add milk, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Bring sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in Alfredo sauce mix and continue to simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Serve warm over cooked pasta or rice.
